1. Installation of Interior Reconfiguration of Virgin Australia with new business class seats and associated furniture in accordance with Jade Master Drawing List JD-45AC02-1, Revision C, dated February 24, 2017, or later EASA approved revisions.

2. Jade Supplemental Instructions for Continued Airworthiness and EWIS ICA Source Document, Document No. JD-45AC04-l, Revision 3, dated August 14, 2015 or later EASA accepted revisions, is required with this modification.

1. The FAA has not certified the activation of monitors and components of the IFE System, including In-Seat Power Supply System. The applicant must get additional FAA approval to activate these systems.

2. This STC requires the installation of FAA STC ST02324NY

3. The installer must determine whether this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications.

4. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use the certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.

Certification Basis:

Based on 14 CFR §21.115 and §21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48A, the certification basis for the Airbus A330-243 Interior Reconfiguration is as follows:

a. The type certification basis for Airbus A330-243 airplanes for parts not changed or not affected by the change is shown on TCDS A46NM.

b. The modification certification basis for Airbus A330-243 airplanes for parts changed or affected by the change is shown on TCDS A46NM with the following exceptions:

• Compliance with 14 CFR 25.853 at Amendment 25-116.

• Compliance with 14 CFR 25.25.869 at Amendment 25-72.

• Compliance with 14 CFR 25.1431 at Amendment 25-113.

•F AA Special Conditions Number 25-526-SC, dated October 29, 2020, “Single-Occupant, Oblique, Side-Facing Seats with Inflatable Lapbelts” is part of the certification basis for this STC.

•Ba sis of certification defined in TCDS A22WE including:

1. FAA Special conditions No. 25-395-SC issued for Seats with Inflatable Lap Belts.

2. FAA Special conditions No. 25-400 –SC, issued for Seats with Non-Traditional, Large, Non-Metallic Panels.
