2) This approval is limited to only the installation of ARINC 791 SATCOM structural provisions. This STC does not include certification of the equipment for which these provisions are intended. You must get additional FAA approval to install this equipment. The FAA must evaluate the installation to ensure it complies with the applicable airworthiness standards.

3) CarlisleIT Airplane Flight Manual Supplement (AFMS), 900-107901, Revision NC, FAA approved May 24, 2022, or later FAA approved revision is required to be on board.

4) FAA approved Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Section 4, Airworthiness Limitations, 900-107865, Revision B, FAA approved on May 11, 2022, or later FAA FAA approved Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Section 4, Airworthiness Limitations, 900-107865, Revision B, FAA approved on May 11, 2022, or later FAA approved revision is required.

5) If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.

Certification Basis:

Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for the modified Airbus A340 Series is as follows:

a. The type certification basis for the Airbus A340 Series is shown on TCDS A43NM for parts not changed or not affected by this change.

b. The certification basis for the parts changed or affected by this change since the reference date of application, June 25, 2021, is shown on TCDS A43NM.
