The aircraft must be maintained in accordance with Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, document number DB2312004 Revision C, dated September 23, 2024, or later FAA accepted revision.
FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual Supplement DB2312003, Revision IR, approved October 31, 2024, for FreeFlight Systems RA-5500 Radio Altimeter, or later FAA approved revision is required on board the modified aircraft.
Certification Basis:
Based on 14 CFR §§21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for the Kelowna Flightcraft R & D Ltd. Tracor (Convair) 340/440 aircraft is as follows:
a. The type certification basis for the Kelowna Flightcraft R & D Ltd. Tracor (Convair) 340/440 aircraft is shown on TCDS 6A6 for parts not changed or not affected by this change.
b. The certification basis for the parts changed or affected by this change since the reference date of application, December 28, 2023, is based on TCDS 6A6 and the following:
