1. Installation of the provisions for the Mark II Laser Airborne Depth Sounder (LADS) in the Standard Passenger Carrying Configuration must be done in accordance with Field Aviation East Limited (FAEL) Top Drawing and Data List DDL-1014, Revision V, Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) approved on July 28, 2022, and FAEL Master Drawing and Data List DDL-1194, Revision B, TCCA approved on September 17, 2021.

1. The installer must determine whether this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications.

2. Operation of the provisions for the Mark II LADS in the Standard Passenger Carrying Configuration must be done in accordance with the following documents:

a. FAEL Flight Manual Supplement for the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU), FMS97016 Revision 2, TCCA approved on July 27, 2022.

b. FAEL Flight Manual Supplement for the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Assisted Engine Start, FMS97020 Revision 3,TCCA approved on July 27, 2022.

3. Maintenance of the provisions for the Mark II LADS in the Standard Passenger Carrying Configuration must be in done in accordance with the following documents:

a. FAEL Maintenance Manual Supplement for the LADS APU Installation, MMS97014 Revision 3, TCCA accepted on September 1, 2021.

b. FAEL Maintenance Manual Supplement for the LADS Laser Bay External Door, MMS97016 Revision B, TCCA accepted on September 1, 2021.

c. FAEL Maintenance Manual Supplement for the Structural Inspection Program Equipped with LADS Modifications and Engaged in LADS Operations, MMS20293 Revision B, TCCA accepted on September 16, 2021.

2. You cannot use descriptive data from this design change to duplicate other products.

This approval is limited to only the installation made in De Havilland Aircaft of Canada Limited DHC-8-202, Serial Number 492. This STC does not permit manufacturing of parts for multiple installations.

3. The "Limitations" section of FAEL Flight Manual Supplement for the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU), FMS97016 Revision 2, TCCA approved on July 27, 2022 is applicable as part of this installation.

4. The "Limitations" section of FAEL Flight Manual Supplement for the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Assisted Engine Start, FMS97020 Revision 3, TCCA approved on July 27, 2022 is applicable as part of this installation.

5. Mandatory replacement time and/or inspection intervals are defined in the Airworthiness Limitations section of the FAEL Maintenance Manual Supplement for the Structural Inspection Program Equipped with LADS Modifications and Engaged in LADS Operations, MMS20293 Revision B, TCCA accepted on September 16, 2021.

6. This approval is limited to only the Standard Passenger Carrying Configuration.

This configuration contains provisions for the Laser Airborne Depth Sounder (LADS) equipment. You must get additional FAA approval to install the LADS. The FAA must evaluate the the installation to ensure it complies with the applicable airworthiness standards.

Note: This STC does not require a revised Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA).
