1. Installation of LED Position/Anti-Collision Lights on the Bombardier Inc., Challenger (CL) 600 series (600/601/601-3A/601-3R/604) and MHI RJ Aviation ULC, models (100/440/550/700/701/702/705/900/1000) jets in accordance with Sterling Helicopter Master Drawing List, Document No. ST-9624-02, Rev. A, dated December 11, 2023, or later FAA approved revision.

2. Maintenance to be performed in accordance with Sterling Helicopter Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Document No. ST-9624-03, Rev. -, dated December 11, 2023 or later FAA approved revision.

1. The installer must determine whether this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications.

2. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter a product, the holder must give this person written evidence of that permission. 3. This STC replaces existing OEM Position/Anti-Collision Lights on wingtips, and replaces the taillight on the tail with the Whelen LED light listed in the Master Drawing List, Document No. ST-9624-02, Rev. A, dated December 11, 2023, or later FAA approved revision under this STC.

Certification Basis:

Based on 14 CFR 21.93 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the FAA certification bases for the Bombardier Inc., Challenger (CL) 600 series (600/601/601-3A/601-3R/604) and MHI RJ Aviation ULC, models (100/440/550/700/701/702/705/900/1000) jets modification are as follows:

(a) The type certification basis for the Bombardier Inc., Challenger (CL) 600 series (600/601/601-3A/601-3R/604) and MHI RJ Aviation ULC, model (100/440/550/700/701/702/705/900/1000) jets is as shown on TCDS A21EA and A21EA-1 for parts not changed or not affected by the change.

(b) For the Bombardier Inc., Challenger (CL) 600 series (600/601/601-3A/601-3R/604) and MHI RJ Aviation ULC, models (100/440/550/700/701/702/705/900/1000) jets, the certification basis for parts changed or affected by the change since the reference date of application May 15, 2022, is based upon part 25 as amended by Amendment 25-119. Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.93(a) and 21.101(b)(1), and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for this modification was determined to be:
