Aviation System Standards STC ST09091AC-D, “Installation of Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) System,” date amended September 30, 2004 must be accomplished prior to this STC.

ATC #2 Transponder may only be selected for Flight Inspections. Only one transponder may be active at any time.

Compatibility of the alteration with other approved alterations is to be determined by the installer.

A copy of this Certificate must be maintained as part of the permanent records for the modified aircraft.

If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.

FAA approved airplane flight manual supplement, “ADS-B 1090ES OUT Transponder System,” dated February 11, 2019, or later approved FAA revision, is required.

Instructions for continued airworthiness, “Installation of the ADS-B 1090ES Transponder System,” M09649, dated December 11, 2018, or later accepted FAA (AEG) revision, is a required part of this modification.

The installation should not be incorporated in any aircraft unless it is determined that the interrelationship between this installation and any previously approved configuration will not introduce any adverse effect upon the airworthiness of the aircraft.

Certification Basis Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis of the Bombardier Model CL-600-2B16 (Cl-601-3R) series installation of ADS-B 1090ES OUT transponder system is as follows:

a. The type certification basis for the Bombardier Model CL-600-2B16 (Cl-601-3R) series airplane is shown on TCDS A21EA for parts not changed or affected by the modification.

b. The certification basis for parts changed or affected by the modification since the reference date of application, February 2, 2018, is based upon the TCDS A21EA. Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and

21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for this modification was determined to be:
