Description of Type Design Change: Installation of a Teledyne Controls Airborne Wireless LAN Unit (AWLU) and an Enhanced Airborne Data Loader (eADL) in accordance with Aircraft Systems and Manufacturing Top Drawing List No. 5683-0001-00, Rev Q, dated April 27, 2010, or later FAA approved revisions.
Limitations and Conditions: This STC is approved for ON GROUND USE ONLY and is not approved for use in flight. The installer must determine whether this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.

This modification may not be installed after August 30, 2010 unless (1) previously approved electrical wiring interconnection system (EWIS) instructions for continued airworthiness (ICA) have been evaluated and determined to be adequate for this installation by the FAA, or (2) revised EWIS ICA have been approved by the FAA Oversite Office.

Certification Basis: Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101(b)(1), and FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for Boeing 737-700 Series, 737-800 Series, 737-900 Series, and 737-900ER modified by the installation of a Teledyne Controls Airborne Wireless LAN Unit (AWLU) and an Enhanced Airborne Data Loader (eADL) is as follows:
a. The type certification basis for Boeing 737- 700 Series, 737-800 Series, 737-900 Series, and 737-900ER airplanes is shown on TCDS A16WE Revision 44 for parts not changed or not affected by the change.
b. The certification basis for parts changed or affected by the change since the reference date of applications, December 11, 2009, is based upon part 25 as amended by Amendment 25-123.
Based on 14 CFR § 21.115 and 21.101(b)(1), and FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for this modification was determined to be:
