3. Instructions for Continued Airworthiness with Airworthiness Limitations, Document Number ICA-DALE7-013 revision I/R dated 6/19/2025 or later FAA approved revision is required for this modification.
4. In accordance with the FAA Continued Operational Safety Branch Integrated Certificate Management Division letter dated August 27, 2025 (Refer to 522-25-00348), this modification is FAA approved as an Alternative Method of Compliance (AMOC) to paragraph (1) of Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2025-01-05. Before using this AMOC, notify your appropriate FAA principal inspector, or lacking a principal inspector, the manager of the local Flight Standards District Office.
Certification Basis (continued) Based on 14 CFR § 21.115, 21.101 and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48A, the certification basis for the Embraer S.A. model ERJ 170-100 STD, ERJ 170-100 LR, ERJ 170-100 SU, ERJ 170-100 SE, ERJ 170-200 STD, ERJ 170-200 LR, ERJ 170-200 SU, and ERJ 170-200 LL aircraft is as follows:
a. The type certification basis for the Embraer S.A. ERJ 170-100 STD, ERJ 170-100 LR, ERJ 170-100 SU, ERJ 170-100 SE, ERJ 170-200 STD, ERJ 170-200 LR, ERJ 170-200 SU, and ERJ 170-200 LL models is shown on TCDS A56NM for parts not changed or not affected by the change.
b. The certification basis for parts changed or affected by the change since the reference date of application, February 25, 2025, is based upon TCDS A56NM. Based on 14 CFR § 21.115 and
21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48A, the certification basis for this modification was determined to be:
