L-3 Communications Integrated Systems L.P. Document No. WTP-W33968-MMSV2, Revision IR, dated May 1, 2014 or later FAA-accepted revisions are a required part of this STC when the applicable item is installed.

Limitations and Conditions: (Continued) The airplane must not be operated for hire or offered for common carriage. This provision does not preclude the operator from receiving remuneration to the extent consistent with 14 CFR parts 125 and 91, subpart F, as applicable.

This STC makes use of Exemptions 10686 and 10687. Exemption 10687 is limited to the specific side -facing seat designs installed by this STC.

The installation of the following STCs is required with this STC:

STC ST02152LA, Installation of AmSafe Inflatable Restraint System STC ST01850NY, Installation of Tailwind 550/560 Live TV System STC ST9767SC, Installation of a KU SATCOM Antenna and Radome

The approved number of seats rated for Taxi/Takeoff/Landing (TTL) is 167 (includes 143 passengers plus 24 crew members.)

Certification Basis:

Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for the 747-8 series airplane is as follows:

a. The type certification basis for 747-8 airplanes is shown on TCDS A20WE for parts not changed or not affected by the change.
