From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on January 6, 1994 at 1933 EST a Boeing 757 operated by united parcell service could not deploy the wing flaps. The pilot used the alternate method to lower flaps and landed at Syracuse without further incident. Maintenance verified using a bite check that the fault showed no movement of the wing flaps. The re-set, following the fault isolation manual and cycled the system several times. Operational checks okay and aircraft was released for service. This incident is considered closed.
