From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot made a precautionary landing after encountering rough running engine during a stall practice session with student. The aircraft engine underwent trouble-shooting and unscheduled maintenance requirements which include component changes. The aircraft was ground-run and released for return-to-service. After the aircraft was returned to service, and a test flight was requested and after take-off sequence, the aircraft engine began to run "rough" at approximately 250 feet. The pilot aborted the flight and made a forced controlled landing onto grass overrun. Minor damage was sustained to the aircraft and investigation to maintenance practices is ongoing.privacy data omittedNo NMAC no pilot deviation closed.
