From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot departed jacksonville, FL enroute to Key West, FL. The flight was uneventful until reaching Key West. Upon reaching Key West the pilot attempted to lower the landing gear and the landing gear would not extend. Several attempts were made to extend the landing gear, both in the normal manner and in the emergency manner, without any success. Pilot attempted to find an airport with foam capabilities, but darkness was impending, and elected to land at Key West International Airport, with the landing gear in transit. Upon landing minor damage was sustained to the aircraft and no injuries were inflicted on the occupants. Work is continuing on the aircraft to determine why the landing gear would not extend.
