What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Narrative: while observing engine being removed from aircraft, it was discovered that the p/c (pneumatic) stainless steel line had come loose from engine. Evidence showed black streaks originating at b nut sleeve and covering line adjacent to "b" nut. There was wear marks on the outboard threads of fitting indicating that the line had not been fully seated. When it finally backed off, the engine spooled down and finally failed. (The p/c line connects to the fuel control and the engine gear box) it came loose at the engine end. This case is forwarded to FSDO 17, the chdo for the operator for further investigation.
