From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot stated: we approached X21 and simulated an engine failure. A normal approach was accomplished, the right seat pilot flared high and we developed a high sink rate, due to the position above the runway the acft settled back to the run way and began the rollout I was critiquing the approach and landing appr. 5 seconds, the nose dropped to the ground as we skidded, I realized the nose gear had collapsed. Mr. Copenhauer and I had checked the gear in the down and locked position and we had a gear down and locked indication in the cockpit.
