From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot flew CE-210, N977RH, from oceanside municipal airport to Orange county/John Wayne airport on a business trip. After landing, he taxied to martin aviation transient parking. He then learned that he was parked in the wrong place, so he started the aircraft again to reposition it to another parking spot. As he taxied out of the first parking spot, he misjudged distance and struck a parked fuel truck with the right wing of his aircraft. The truck sustained no damage. The right wing tip of N977RH sustained minor damage.
