From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot reported they had flown to birmingham, Alabama and upon returning to mccollum had made about ten touch and goes before the full stop landing. After landing on runway, and as the speed decreased, the turn onto the second taxiway from the end was made. Shortly thereafter the nose gear collapsed. A thorough inspection revealed no damage to the gear mechanism and tests showed the gear worked properly. The pilot and the student confirmed the gear handle was down and locked prior to touchdown, and at the time the gear collapsed they confirmed it was still down.
