From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on March 1, 1995, at 1300 PDT, N60005, a Beechcraft BE-76, registered to sheila sharman, experienced a nose gear-up landing at nut tree airport, near Vacaville, CA. When the pilot retarded the throttle prior to landing he noticed an aural warning horn and the absence of a nose-gear-down indication. The landing gear was recycled; both the nose-gear-down and the warning horn were not present when the throttle was again retarded. The pilot assumed he had an indication problem and landed the aircraft normally. It was soon apparent, the nose landing gear was not down. No pilot deviation was involved. An m or d will be submitted upon determination of the malfunction.
