From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Right gear damaged striking snowbank on go around. From landing. Gear collapsed on emergency landing. (-23) on second approach to Clinton field, Wilmington, Ohio. The pilot was about 200 yards from the end of the runway when he detected a sink faster than he had intended. He applied full power for a go around but the right main gear collided with a snow bank that was left from where the runway was cleared by snow plows earlier that week. The right main gear and right wing spar received major damage.
