From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on March 13, 1995, at 1500 PDT, terry meyer, pilot in command of N48204, a Cessna model 152 airplane, made a safe forced landing on a street between black Mt. Rd and galvin rd, in mira mesa, San Diego, California. The aircraft sustained no damage as a result of engine failure of off airport landing. Pilot reported loss of oil pressure, engine stalled and was unable to restart. On scene investigation revealed water contamination as a probable cause. Engine fuel filter bowl contained a very high level of water which would cause engine to quit. When water was drained and aircraft refueled engine operated normally. Neither meyer nor his passenger sustained any injuries. This incident is not related to a NMAC or a pilot deviation.
