From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot reported that he had taken off from Johnson County Executive Airport (ojc) for the purpose of making a series of touch and go takeoff landings. After completion of two landings, pilot neglected to extend the landing gear on his third approach. In the landing flare, pilot reported that he heard the landing gear warning horn sound just as he retarded the engine power. A moment later, the propeller contacted the runway and the aircraft settled to the ground. Minor damage was sustained to the bottom of the fuselage, wing flaps, antennas and propeller, pilot was uninjured. On-scene investigation about 30 minutes after the incident revealed the landing gear selector switch still in the "up" position. privacy data omitted Mci-fsdoprivacy data omitted this incident is closed.
