From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Ran out of fuel near destination. Tried land on bike path. Struck ditch and flipped over. (-23) Cessna N6293S departed VFR at approximate 1333 UTC from college dale in (3M3) direct to Moraine oh (I73). On final approach to landing (rwy 23) at Moraine airpark, the engine lost power and quit. Aircraft attempted to land on bicycle path east airport at 1245 UTC. Landing was unsuccessful and aircraft flipped upside down, resulting in substantial damage to aircraft and no injury to pilot or passenger. PIC stated after engine lost power, he made one attempt to restart engine and retracked flaps to extend his glide. He then determined that aircraft wouldn't have enough altitude to make runway and decided to land on bicycle path, horizontal to runway. PIC also stated that he might have run out of gas or maybe the carburetor was damaged from engine back fire when attempting to start engine before departing college dale TN. He also stated he personally fueled aircraft before departure and that the tanks were full.
