From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Bounced came back down. Left main separated. Side load folded nose gear. Nosed over. Gear attach bolt failed. (-23) landing to the northwest on a Private 1600' x 50' sod strip, the pilot was concerned about 30' trees on the north side of the runway. During the touchdown phase, the pilot applied some power to work around the trees. The aircraft floated down the runway for 150' and touched down main wheels first. At this point the main gear dug into the ground and then the nose gear. This caused the aircraft to roll over on its nose.

As the FAA filed it
