From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on may 13,1995, the aircraft experienced a failure of the right propeller to properly unfeather; therefore, preventing the engine from restarting following a practice inflight shutdown. The aircraft would not maintain altitude on the left engine. A successful landing was accomplished in an open field. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time and no flight plan was filed. The aircraft sustained minor damage. The pilot and his two passengers were not injured. The flight originated at downtown airport, Shreveport, Louisiana, on may 13, 1995. Inspection revealed that the right propeller accumulator, part no. SP2890-1, would not maintain pressure over a period of time. After the accumulator was repaired, the right engine was successfully restarted multiple times.
