From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: aircraft landed on runway 20L, lost control, and ran off left side of runway. It then proceeded along a 10-20 degree line off of the runway centerline and struck a dirt berm, causing minor damage to the prop and left wing tip. The pilot reported the left brake sticking. However, no flat spots on the tires were noted. There were no skid marks on the runway or grass, except for approximately the last 25' of the tire paths. The tire path was in a relative straight line from the edge of the runway to where the aircraft stopped. Subsequent inspection of the aircraft's braking system indicated normal operating brakes. No further action is anticipated.

As the FAA filed it
