From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot stated - on flight to luling and return - land at luling ok - on return leg coming into pattern at eyq lowered landing gear and found no nose gear & no green down lights. Tried many times to cycle gear, also tried manual pump without success. Landed on main gear with nose gear partially retracted - everything ok. Site inspection revealed - damage to nose gear doors and exhaust tip and fairing and propeller blades. Investigation revealed that the malfunction was caused by the upper rubber stop pad missing from pad base - caused gear doors to jam in closed position. Incident closed.
