From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the aircraft departed the Dallas township municipal building complex for an agricultural operation in the local area. After completing the agricultural operation, the aircraft was enroute to return to the Dallas township municipal building complex, and during that return flight, the engine failed, causing the pilot to autorotate the helicopter to a landing. A subsequent investigation to its ag gear. During the interview of the pilot, the pilot stated that he checked for fuel in the fuel tank after the landing, and he could only see residual fuel. He then stated that he ran out of fuel.
