From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: this was a VFR flight with no flight plan, for pleasure with only the pilot on board. The report was that he entered the traffic pattern and continued the approach to landing. He reported no unusual occurrences until he realized the landing gear was not extended and it was too late to do anything. The pilot admitted that after the aircraft came to a stop, he looked at the landing gear control switch and it was still in the "up position". This office considers this incident closed.
