From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the pilot elected to make a precautionary landing to have his aircraft engine inspected. The engine exhaust gas temp was running higher than normal with full rich mixture. No emergency was declared and the aircraft landed without incident. Engine was inspected and repaired by reinstalling a missing bolt and tightening the other attached bolt on the #5 cylinder intake flange. The missing bolt created an induction leak causing a lean mixture, therefore causing the high EGT indication. The aircraft was run-up and released m or d report sent out.

As the FAA filed it
