From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on October 7, 1995, a Piper PA-20, N6913K, was performing a touch and go landing at West Texas Airport. The pilot reported the aircraft veered to the left and he was unable to hold the aircraft on the runway inspite of applying full right rudder and brake. The aircraft encountered deep sand upon departing the runway and tipped up on it's nose. This caused the right main landing gear to collapse resulting in damage to the propeller and engine cowling. There was no further damage to the aircraft or injuries to the occupants. Investigation continues.
