From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the helicopter, owned by boston helicopter, was being operated and flown by Mr. Otis brown as apart of an "air fair" day at Beverly airport. Mr. Brown was giving rides to the public if they made a donation to a national charity. Mr. Brown allowed a passenger, Mr. Rex trailer, to manipulate the controls and attempt to land the aircraft. During the approach to landing, Mr. Trailer could not maintain directional control of the aircraft. Mr. Brown took control of the aircraft away from Mr. Trailer, but could not avoid making a "hard landing". The damage to the aircraft was minor. privacy data omitted
