From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: on Saturday, December 2, 1995, at approximately 1330 MST, a Beech BE-58, N4203A, lost power on the right engine after takeoff from runway 34R at arapaho county airport, englewood, Colorado. The pilot made a forced landing on a paved road approximately 1 mile northeast of the airport. The pilot and 5 passengers were unharmed and the aircraft was not damaged. Investigation revealed that the clip securing the mixture control cable (p/n RA1039C) had failed. This allowed the mixture of the right engine to vary uncontrollably. Additionally, the propeller failed to feather when normal in-flight shutdown procedures were followed. Both of these issues remain under investigation.

As the FAA filed it
