From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot register stated that during takeoff roll, applying normal right rudder for p. factor did not overcome severe left drift. Aborted takeoff, went into grass on left side of runway. Nose wheel struck small ditch and collapsed, propeller strike and cowling damage evident. No other structural damage evident. (.4)the pilot stated that during the takeoff roll he applied normal right rudder to compensate for engine torque. The airplane did not respond to the pilot input and drifted to the left. He aborted the takeoff and the airplane went onto the grass at the left side of the runway. The airplane then collided with a small ditch and the nose gear collapsed.
