What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Narrative: the pilot-in-command wrote: the aircraft was located at gate E-11. After engine start, I had directed the first officer to contact ramp control for taxi instructions. I had previously noticed a saab 340 parked out of position at gate E-9. Due to the proximity of the aircraft, I requested marshaling assistance for taxi out. A marshaler was contacted and provided me with appropriate signals. Taxi was then begun under the direction of the marshaler. As the aircraft taxied under the direction of the marshaler, the left wing struck the saab 340. After contact, the engines were shut down and a non-emergency deplaning occurred. Company personnel were contacted. Submission of this report closes this incident.
