From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the pilot reported his brakes felt "spongy" as he taxied for takeoff on runway 17 at salt lake city international airport. He attributed the aforementioned to the fact that the taxiways at kslc were snow covered with some deep drifts. Immediately after takeoff the pilot said that he cycled both his brakes and landing gear in order to free any accumulated snow that might have accumulated during his taxi. Upon touching down on runway 28R at Boise's Gowen field, the pilot reported that both brakes "locked up". The airplane came to a stop with both tires flattened. An interview with a company maintenance person revealed that both tires were ground flat due to the plane's brakes being locked on landing. No other damage occured during this incident. The pilot was given couseling regarding winter operations. No other action is planned. This is a final report.
