From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: N7751P departed stowe, Vermont on 02-04-96, for a VMC flight to Nashua, new hampshire. Upon landing at Nashua, the landing gear did not indicate down when extended, although all other indications were normal. The gear was recycled and the proper indication occurred. The tower gave a visual report that the gear appeared down and the retarded throttle gave a normal indication. A landing was commenced and ended in a collapsed gear after approximately 1000 feet of roll out. Inspection of the gear assembly showed a bent nose gear guide roller and track assembly. Other damage to the aircraft was minor.
