From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: while being marshalled on the ramp to the parking spot, the left wing out board slat struck a fuel truck that was parked with part of it in the circle of safety. There was a wing walker on the right side of the a/c but none on the left side. The damage to the slat was a two inch hole in the leading edge of the slat. Contract maintenance (usair) visually inspected the slats and had the crew cycle, the flaps, and slats two times. Operation of the slats was normal. The aircraft was ferried to atl, and the dala cmo was notified of the incident.
