From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: en route from ral to sna, the pilot placed the gear handle in the down position in preparation for landing. He got two green lights for the main gear, but none for the nose gear. They did a low approach and sna ATCT confirmed that the nose gear did not appear to be in a fully extended position. The pilot opted to depart sna and troubleshoot the problem over the water. He did this for about an hour and ran the right main tank dry. He was unable to get a restart on the r/aux. Tank which was full. He declared an emergency and landed at sli which was the nearest airport at that point. Upon rollout the nosegear collapsed.
