From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: student pilot was taking a private pilot glider practical test from FAA inspector. On the second and final landing of the practical test, as the aircraft was about to come to a stop, the left hand side of the landing wheel fork failed at the point where the brake stationary plate retention pin passes through the fork. Upon investigation it appeared that there had been corrosion in that area that had weakened the landing wheel fork. When the fork failed it locked the wheel and caused the tire to blow. No other damage to the aircraft or injury to the occupants. This report is final and closed.
