From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: during a maintenance nighttime taxi operation the aircraft's left wing tip and closure rib was damaged after striking the right wing tip of a world airline's DC-10 that was parked. The investigation disclosed that the airports markings and facilities were adequate and the persons involved were qualified. However, factors in the investigation were determined to be distraction in the cockpit at the time of taxi and the duty time limitation of the mechanic involved was not being tracked as per FAR 121.377. FSDO coordination was accomplished with faa-chdo privacy data omitted this FSDO considers this matter closed.
