From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft struck a deer on the runway. (.4)during a landing flare at dusk, the passenger informed the pilot that there was a deer off the right side of the runway. The pilot attempted to go-around; however, the deer contacted the tail of the airplane, jamming the elevator control surface. The airplane climbed to an altitude of 20 to 25 feet, then entered a nose down descent to the runway. The nose of the airplane contacted the runway first, and the airplane slid off the side of the runway and nosed over. (-23) aircraft landing rwy 35 at Bad Axe (76D) when a deer ran from the right side of runway toward the aircraft. Pilot attempted to go around but deer struck the right horizontal stabilator and elevator. The aircraft nosed over, struck the runway nose first collapsing the nose gear. The aircraft then veered off the runway into the dirt/grass, coming to a rest upside down on the left side of runway.
