From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the aircraft departed salmon Idaho (5150 foot long, hard paved runway, field elevation 4045 feet), on a part 135 flight to Stanley, Idaho. The pilot thought that two passengers were to disembark at Stanley. They were not. The pilot then attempted a takeoff from Stanley. (4300 foot long turf runway, field elevation 6403 feet). The aircraft climbed to an approximate altitude of 15 feet but was not able to climb further. The PIC abandoned the takeoff. The aircraft ran off the end of the runway through a fence. Damage was limited to the nose, right wing tip and entrance door. There were no injuries. According to witness statements, the PIC had not weighted the baggage before takeoff. Furthermore, the witnesses estimated baggage weight to be FAR above the one shown in the load manifest as 200 pounds. privacy data omitted
