From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: express one international, inc. (eisa), aircraft 357NE, a Boeing 727-82 departed cia (ciampino, italy) at 19:21 local time. During the post flight walk around the closing fairing over the lower aft cargo door was found missing. Eisa brussels maintenance personnel inspected and evaluated the aircraft. The flight crew reported that there were no abnormal lights, sounds, or other indications seen, heard, or felt in the cockpit during the flight between cia and bgy. Finding: the attachment track was twisted and pulled from the fuselage and it was determined the aircraft could not be operated in this condition. Eisa ferried the aircraft to brussels, belgium (eisa main maintenance base) for repairs. Prior to the ferry flight, eisa contacted Boeing who evaluated the damage and authorized eisa to ferry the aircraft. A new door with tracks was installed, fairing unlock light circuit was tested and broken wire's repaired by splicing and all operational checks were performed. The light system and door operation check's were in serviceable condition. Aircraft was returned to service. This incident is considered closed.
