From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time and no flight plan was filed. The aircraft received minor damage, and the certificated private pilot and a passenger were not injured. The flight originated at Schuylkill county airport at 1000 hours. After a one hour pleasure flight, the pilot returned to Schuylkill county airport (zer). On his final approach to runway 29, a witness noticed that the navion had its landing gear up. A warning was transmitted on UNICOM, but not received. The aircraft then landed on runway 29 with its landing gear up. The pilot stated that the aircraft was operating normally, and that the cause of the accident was his own bad judgment.
