From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: about 10 to 15 minutes after takeoff from kingman he lost all power (engine). Because of heavy westbound traffic on the highway, he elected to turn around and land on the eastbound lanes which had lighter traffic. He intentionally landed gear-up and flaps to have an appropriate speed to merge and not cause a traffic accident. The plane skidded on the highway, then the right wing-tip caught a highway sign and turned into a ditch, where it came to rest. Damage was minor. Report closed.
