From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: aircraft was enroute to kenosha, WI (enw) during cruise flight the engine failed. The pilot made an uneventful emergency landing in a farm field. Investigation revealed the engine driven fuel pump had failed. Fuel pump failure was caused by a retaining washer gasket separating from the pull rod assembly and lodging in the pump outlet valve. In this condition the aircraft electric boost pump can not bypass fuel to the engine. Lycoming was notified. A s.b.525 was issued and an a d is pending.
