From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: while on a pleasure flight from Burlington, Iowa, to keokuk, Iowa, to Burlington, the pilot experienced a problem with the flaps. The flaps would not lower to a partial setting but could be selected to a full down position. While working with the flaps, the pilot forgot to lower the landing gear. He was using the wing spoilers to slow his speed, and therefore, using enough power to prevent the gear horn from activating. The propeller and belly of the aircraft was damaged as a result of a gear up landing. This incident is considered closed with this report.
