The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Narrative: on approach for landing over an obstacle, Mr. Rossen's balloon came in contact with a single strand power line which had been strung between poles 560 feet apart. Both poles were in wooded areas and were not visible from the balloon. He and other balloons were landing into the setting sun which made it very difficult to see the wire. Other pilots on approach behind Mr. Rossen stated they had not seen the wire. There were no injuries. There was no damage to the balloon or property on the surface. This incident occurred at the conclusion of a hare and hound event. The filing of this report closes this incident.
