From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: the pilot stated that as he lowered the landing gear, he heard an abnormal noise; however, the in-transit light extinguished in the normal manner and he got three green down and locked lights. The landing was normal until as the aircraft slowed, he lowered the nose and the nose gear collapsed. The aircraft slid to a stop on the mains and nose fairing. The aircraft sustained damage to both props, radar dome, nose fairing and gear doors. The inspection revealed the nose gear nose brace r/h tube had cracked completely through. The failure of aft drag brace appears to have prevented the over center locking action. M or d to be completed by maintenance facility.
