From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: after departure pilot could not retract landing gear manually or electrically. Aircraft returned to pts and made a gear-up landing. The landing gears were partially extended causing damage to the landing gear doors, propeller and minor damage to various antennas. Contacted mac mcdermed of mac's aircraft repair in pittsburgh. He stated that the landing gear "gear box coupling" which couples the electric motor to the gearbox appeared to be broken. I requested an m or d form from him be sent to this office.
