From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Narrative: pilot indicated that after landing he had no braking due to ice on the runway. Confirmed from interviews and other reports that there was a coat of ice in area at time of landing. The length of runway (4621) and lack of reversers prevented a go-around. The aircraft slid off the runway into a ditch and then up onto a taxiway near the end of the runway. The nose gear collapsed and lower strut with wheel were broken off. Aircraft sustained minor damage. No injuries.
